another nightyesterday was a day of mixed feelings.went for my nie interview which i think didn't go too well and i've to go for my ppt in 2 weeks which i'm still undecided about.*peers at current physical condition*headed home to find the application accepted letter from NTU,once again it was with mixed feelings as i read it.still i thank God for His grace!=)LM in the afternoon was a blast!arnd 70 ppl filled the room which is like a first time ever!all the crusaders, including myself, just had the same look of shock as we entered the usually spacious room to find it packed and stuffy for once.amazing.post LM was a time of last min prep for ivin and myself for the overnight game.it's strange how i unwittingly became an unofficial member of the comm.and lookin back,it was yet another staff-bao-ka-liao activity.i'm amazed at how ivin can go into such a game with.. minimal planning and yet not feel worried.haha.but God has really tamed me down somewhat and i learnt how to be patient and just..serve in love.no complaints there though i prob would have naynay qt a fair bit long time ago.it was kinda stressful keeping just a step ahead of the crusaders and freshmen who came down enthusiastically for it.yet God graciously provided for all our lack.blessing #1ivin n i stayed in nyp for so long preparing the admin part that we had no time to plant the clues beforehand and had to take a cab (EXPENSIVE!) down to cityhall so we wouldn't be late to meet them.but PTL! christine managed to give us a lift till clarke quay!so we saved on cab fare and trekked our remaining way lugging a carton of mineral water.blessing#2midway through the game,as jia xian and i sat down with ivin to re-look at the route the crusaders would be walking on to reach east coast,we calculated and realised the distance was btw 10-15km and would take approx 4 hours.it was 1am plus and the teams had not even finished supper.knowing that the teams would be completely exhausted and deadbeat by the time they reached, prob even wayyyyyy after the sun rose,i did my next best-i prayed and called shaun toes at 1.50am in the morning.i owe him mega biiiiiiiiiiig time man.i'm glad my friendship meant something to him to the extent that though he had been up since 6am and had just finished chillin out with his friends at tampines,he still sent them home, zipped back to his place in yishun, swopped his SUV for the lorry and headed to east coast to pick me up as we proceeded to rescue the teams who had died and were waiting for a miracle.we took 2 over hours.toes was the miracle and answered prayer last nite.it's amazing how God just provided the transport we needed but couldn't afford.well it ain't entirely free since toes is expecting a lawry's treat for his lorry.(ok WEAK pun intended)but he more than deserves it.totally owe him BIG time.THANKS DEAR TOES!!!*super grin*i guess the night would have ended off pretty ok if not for a slight..issue at the end.it's amazing how sometimes some things happen and u feel like u went from hero to zero in a split second.that sense of accomplishment gone in a flash.ruined by an unrelated event.
funny thing is -i didn't even have to do anythin.it just unfolded as usual like some times in the past.at 6am in the morning,as the strong winds blew the clouds in hence obscurring any view of a sunrise, after a whole long day of being on the move, resulting in physical and mental exhuastion, combined with a great longing for my bed at home and suffering from horrid gastric pains, yet feeling utterly helpless and unable to just leave since we hadn't officially ended the game,i just broke down mildly.too much.i've had enough.
