my REAL last day ok really. today was my last day in school. like really seriously penultimate last day. i won't be going back to teach anymore. not within the year that is. maybe next year.. but that's a mega big MAYBE.
i've had fun though.=)
the day started off with a tasty surprise.. literally. haha. as i was strolling to school after receiving a strange call.. out popped a foot soldier awaiting the arrival of the queen holding a Macs Big Breakfast and Sausage Mcmuffin in one hand and hot tea and milo in the other. the queen chose the Mcmuffin of coz since it was easier to eat as she had a limited time to do so in school. and boy was it one of the tastiest yummiest most heartwarming breakfast the queen has ever had. much to the chagrin and jealousy of her fellow colleague. hee. thank you. you made my day.. and nite.=) *megawati smile*
school was as usual a circus. it's painful when you have the heart to teach but your students are beyond control. i really do agree that class sizes ought to be smaller, that way the teacher can spend more quality time with the students. i see that happening in my lower primary where the students are split up according to their strengths so the classes are smaller based on their learning ability. nonetheless, it's the general class behaviour and all the brats and everything that just drains you. going to school each day is like going to war. you've to arm urself to prepare for anything- such as cute lookin kids up to extreme mischief like skipping class [primary one only k!!!] and being absolutely defiant to the teachers. imagine yourself facing this prob 6 hours straight each and every day for all 4 terms of ten weeks each. i wouldn't be surprise if the drop out rate of teaching in pri schools is relatively high. and the problem just gets worse as the kids grow up for they become more rebellious as well. you wonder really.. wad went on in the schools across the island as you grow up all snug and cosy in ur top 20 school. i really thank God for giving me this priceless insightful experience=)
