stokedif yesterday was emotionally draining, today was awesome.woke up bright and early in the morn to head over to toni&guy acad for my dye job.i was supposed to be the model for the teacher to use to teach the students.i felt like i was a science experiment.initially when i stepped in and saw the same students i saw 2 weeks earlier who were having probs cutting basic styles,my heart literally plummeted to the core of the earth as scenes of horrid hair colours tarnishing my virgin hair flashed thru my mind.i was placed in the chair rite infront of the class of 4 students and 1 teacher and they all crowded around me to judge my hair quality, elasticity, etc.apparently i have 'very good' hair.=Dso my head succumed to their curious hands and judgement as soon-to-be professionals.in the end,all fears of a blotched dye job was washed down the sink when it was the teacher herself who ended up dying my hair for the students to watch the process.a dye job by her back at the salon costs like..$240, though the normal fee is $170.*faints*i quite like the colour they chose for me,some mahogony shade, though i have to wait for a few days before the colour can be fully seen apparently.hmmmm..the anticipation.still, i'm contented.a free dye.and my virgin one too.hee=)*pats hair*went to the national library to look for a few books[after a brief shopping spree at bugis to indulge in retail therapy for a bit which culminated in the purchase of a nice handbag on sale.hee]sadly,i couldn't find them.saw them in the vogue mag at toni, they looked so pretty!i neeeeeeeeeed pretty books.somehow i have a thing for pretty book jackets.so much for the saying about never judging a book by it's cover..haha.anyway here's a ref for those who wanna check it out and have no idea how some book covers can actually look good:1) It's Vintage, Darling! - by Christa Weil2) The Complete Polysyllabic Spree by Nick Hornby3) The Goddess Guide by Gisele Scanlon4) The Ultimate Girls Night In by Jacqui Ripley5) A Pinch of Posh by Mr&Mrs Laurence Llewelyn-Bowendisclaimer: i'm seriously normally not a chick-lit kinda person.my pals can attest to that.for instance,i just can't stand reading beyond 2 pages of shopaholic.anyway,i soon emerged disappointed from the jungle of books beneath the street level and headed for marina square where a nice patient fellow was waiting to treat me to a yummilicious spageddies meal.my first ever eating there!the food was not too bad although the service was.. non-existant.haha.fantastic 4 soon followed..and as most sequels go, this one wasn't exactly that great.the plot just fell flat.but jessica alba's still as hot as ever and wells..sometimes, u just need to unwind over a no-brainer kinda movie.and fantastic 4 was perfect.=)my day out ended with a pleasant surprise when i emerged from the toilet only to be surprised when the soft toy i originally named monstar from action city was placed infront of my face.omg.i was so shocked and uber happie..hahaha..ok i'm still smilin now..anyway,i just couldn't find the words to say la.but ya,i was just uber shocked and absolutely delighted beyond words!!=Di think the wideness of my smile could have knocked silver surfer off his board.haha.ok lame.but anyway,i really seriously thought it was sold out already ok!!haha.still..THANKSSSSS!!!!!!*megawati smile*it's really a fantastic way to end my stressful period.raaaaaaahhhhhhhhsssssss.
my monday starhad porridge buffet at windsor hotel to celebrate my dad's bday.i just ate like..peanuts and veg.coz they are my fav part of eating porridge!haha.that's why my dad says he has no qualms if i'm thrown into the wilderness,i will survive.but my sis..hahaha.my sis is strong la.anyway,BLESSED 53RD DAD!!!!!!!*hugs*some camp photos
