overit's over.14 teaching weeks.just like that.and it's over.so now i'm sunburnt.my lower-neck-chest area and shoulders are still reddish and sorta painful.that's all that remains of a jam packed week.wed was jlow's bday-rushed down to james place after contact meeting to bake 19th blueberry muffins for jlow.i almost died the day before when i was buying the blueberries coz they were so ex and i had to buy 2 boxes.after tasting one,i was wondering why in the world would anyone want to buy blueberries coz they are so sour!not to mention ex.and i had serious doubts about how the muffin would turn out with such sour berries.but of coz buddie assured me that it would taste great coz the sweetness of the mixture would balance the sourness of the berries.and the muffins turned out perfect!*beams*J&J bakery is on the way!!=)so after tuition, james n i headed to jlow's place and managed to coerce her maid into lettin us in and we hid in her room intending to surprise her.but jlow's house is so humongously big that we didn't hear her coming in and she surprised us instead!hahahaha.but i bet she was still surprised la!heeee.so it was a wonderful nite with the usual banter and me rolling on her comfy bed.i could have drooled all over it given my fatigue.haha.oh wells, hope jlow had a fun trip to hk!!
the J's
HAPPIEEEE 19TH BABE!!!*mega hugs*thurs was spent at the botanic gardens with my kids.it was the perfect setting for the animals [aka my kids].they ran free in the wild.i felt like i was controlling a herd rather than a group of humans.but oh wells,i just cut some slack and did not require them to be in their lines of 2 all the time so long as they stayed on the pavement and not fall into the lake.not like that would have been a great loss..1 less being to watch over..hahaha.bobby came along with me coz he's the new teacher taking over my class next term and it would be great for him to see the true nature of the kids.bobby's a great nice guy.he's also an ex-commander or smthg in the army.HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA.my kids are so gonna...haha.well,finally the school hears my pleas and put a tough guy ic of the class.see-the teacher before me fell into depression after taking the class for 6 weeks and in that same time span,2 chinese teachers quit.u cannot put a normal teacher in charge of my class.i survived by the grace of God,really.oh wells..still i'll miss my class loads.really.life's gonna be so dull now..
P3-4friday was my last day.it was the day to bid farewell.i printed out the photo for my kids and stayed up till 2.30am preparing the gifts for some of my colleagues and writing a personal note to my kids behind each of the photos.i even wrote it in chinese for the china boy.without the help of a dictionary too!my non-cheena tuned brain was totally screaming murder at me.haha.but well..the absolute satisfaction i felt after that was tremendous.totally contented.and i had a great pal to stop me from zoning off and falling asleep too so that helped.haha.the kids were all so excited when i gave them the photo.to many it was their first ever class photo.their excitement was such a heartwarming sight.in a way,i miss them loads.yet in a way,i'm relieved to be free from them.being a teacher really requires loads of emotional attachment whether u like it or not, whether you are conscious of it or not.this coming from a person like me who is not usually emotional-like i dun cry like a sob fest at touching sad movies/shows/korean drama serials unless it's seriously seriously seriously uber heartwarming or i'm in an emo mood [usually means pms] that day.so, yes.teaching really requires a soft heart.not one of stone.soft yet tough.oh wells.the only i regret i have now is giving the kids my hp no.coz now they give me weird calls and msgs.kids have handphones.omg.haha.stayed out till late on fri.it was supposed to be my personal celebration of sorts since it was my last day.went to watch pirates with the peace babes+justin+flick which is a great show to watch but pales in great comparison to the first installment.nonetheless, johnny depp's a great actor so despite the uber long showtime,i still managed to stay tuned.i just loveeeeeeee johnny depp's works!went to eat bk after that but ermx..the many regurgitating moments in the movie left me without an appetite till a much more satisfying meal later.=)saturday i still had to go back to cps for their sports carnival.the main draw for the other reliefs to come back was mainly coz they still had stuff to clear from their desks.hahahaha.and to my pleasant surprise,my co-form left me a pretty jewellery set from chomel on my desk as a thank you gift along with some special hersey kisses from my greatly loved mysterious secret admirer who also gave me ferrero rocher chocs on my bday and a spongebob keychain on one of the random days.hahaha.i loveeee you secret admirer!whoever you are..hahaha.*hugs*i love surprises.despite my sunburnt from the fire drill the day before and botanic gardens 2 days earlier,i still braved the sun to support my kids in their coneball match.pity my house lost.oh wells.but it's the fun and experience that matters!=)had staff race which i obviously got dragged into and james came down to support me as well as take a mini tour of the school.miss goh is just so proud of him coz he got selected for seagames.haha.oh wells.the staff race was quite lame coz u basically had to run around 3 cones and then jump over 3 knee high hurdles which are placed so close i almost tripped and fell.james says my running style is off now already.boo.=(well i'm retired.went to bid my final last goodbyes after that but had to stay for a quick briefing which i was eventually excused from attending coz miss goh knew james was waiting for me.haha.nonetheless,while waiting, james took my bike and cycled to macs to buy fries for me coz i had a craving for it and we didn't have time to go since he had to rush off to meet his gf and i had to go home to prepare for church.but still, eating in our old pri sch, idling in nostalgia and just chatting..no air conditioned fast food joint can beat that.
staff race[i've got high back kick.=(]
one of my gurkha kids.i think he looks like a bear.dun u just wanna pinch his cheeks?heehee.
bobby.the teacher taking over me.
my lovely colleagues=)

before.
after.oh wells..goodbye.had a mega headache by the time i got home no thanks to lack of sleep and the scorching heat.but that did not hamper me from meeting toes at the padang to catch the acrobatic performance after church.it's really awesome!and i bet toes would not have gone if not for an artsy pal like me.hahaha.he needs more arts friends-ayeaye!basically the stunts included some giant wheel thinghhy which had people who swung about within like hamsers running on their wheels in order to keep the wheel spinning while suspended way way way above the ground.there was also this thing lifted by giant cranes that had a whole group of singaporean volunteers who have been training for the past week for it who danced and did formations while suspended way way way above the ground once again.
the whole thing ended with an absolutely grand fireworks display that was sooooooo pretty!there was this cool space shuttle thinghy that shot up and sprinkled into nothingness, then there was also this other red one that looked like a tadpole and could dart about the sky in different directions.but my absoulte fav was the one that exploded before exploding again into tiny like golden drops that covered the sky, making it look like it was a total blanketing of stars.lovely.=)an absolutely delightful and memorable week indeed=)
