today was fun!
started off with me doing monologues for oral skills lesson.
since mr sng said i could do wadeva i wanted,i decided to give them monologues taken from a book called Monologues For Teenagers.
so i had a monologue about this Julie girl who's about to break up with her bf only to discover that when she brought up the subject,her bf was actually fine with it which pissed her off and made her suspect that he hadn't liked her in quite a while and was actually after another girl and so in the end they make up and didn't break up.
that was the hoot point.
really got the girls laughing and the one in my lit class performed it in full character really well!
i had 2 classes for the monologues,one is triple science while the other takes the exact same combi i did.
i brought up kuo pao kun [renowned local theatre doyen],trip sci and all but one in the lit class have NEVER heard of him.
ok.
i brought up the substation.
i brought up ivan heng.
i got blank stares in the trip sci class.
aiyooooooooooooooooo! like that how they do they essays should it be about the arts scene!?!!
*frowns*
but nonetheless,i applaud the souls who bravely voiced the monologues for those who did really put their heart and sincerity into doing so.
it was such a hilarious time!

my 3rd and last lesson for the day was skit rehearsal for one of my sec2 classes.
so basically i just slacked in one corner while they got busy in their respective corners.
seemed to be progressing along nicely..
i really reaally didn't do much.
hate it when i become a mere facilitator.
bahhh.

anyway,i was lookin forward to digging into my daily dose of the straits times at the staff lounge when mrs yeo's booming voice called me to head to the home ec room immediately.
from her tone i thought i had somehow managed to mess things up unknowingly and was in deep trouble.
BUT..
turns out that every wed during TOP period,as the students have tests,the teachers are supposed to have equipping sessions.
meaning they have to attend courses.
however some days are spent on other enrichment activities like today's was.. cooking.
personally demonstrated by 2 of the malay teachers.
was pretty stunned to see the male teachers there too..
ALL there to EAT ONLY.
BUT to give the guy teachers some credit,they DID cook eventually when it was time to get cracking after the demonstration.
IF u call that cooking.
REALLY REALLY regret not having brought my camera.
the guy teachers were suddenly reduced to hungry mischievious boys all up to no good.
MR TAY especially was the idian chief,he was like putting the metallic dishes containing the ingredients directly over the stove to 'cook' them separately.
and mr goh was sooooooo cute.
he was egging mr omar to pour in more oil after claiming convincingly that it was insufficient but when mr omar poured another tonne of oil in,mr goh was like.. stunned.
'eh i was only joking! you took it seriously?'
and that was the beginning of a meal u know is headed downhill.
see-
mr tay totally burnt the onions to near-ash state as mr omar hurriedly went to measure the amount of tamrind powder needed when it was discovered that we had not done our proper prep beforehand.
i was still midway through cutting the chicken into cubes when mr tay was like 'AHHHH!just pour the whole thing in la!'
and ALL the guy teachers proceeded to cope my chopping board of chicken and threw them into the pot even though there was still ONE CHUNK left.
omg.
and you know wad the funny thing is?
i think ours tasted the BEST in the end.
*smirk*
but of coz,u have to ignore the process.
hahahahahaha.

but it was a real eye-opener and a thorough amusement to see the teachers,my teachers,behaving like excited kids.
really.
haha.


headed to cedar pri after sch for my interview with miss goh which made me realise that the school is actually sort of creating a post for me.
they are like finding things for me to do just so they can give me the experience of teaching.
omg.
the principal is just soooooooooo nice.=)

basically i'll be in charge of helping out in the aesthetics [drama,dance] and athletics [track&field] until one of the teachers leave in march then i can take over her classes proper.
but until then,i'll just be helping out and sent to any class whenever and wherever.
haha.
i'm really really grateful.
shall rise up to any challenges!


was having dinner with my mum at wisma food republic just now and was so amused to hear this gal at the next table asking her boyfriend
'if we hadn't gotten together you would have gone with ivy rite?'
'er no!'
'but you like her soooo much!'
'now la but not last time when i already knew you'
...
'that is a tricky question..'
HAHAHAHAHAH.

OMG.
i almost choked on my udon.

but yes..wad a test.
valentines day is coming yet once more and i'm so amused that 2 ppl today actually asked me wad my plans are for that day.
like hullo?!!
my A levels may be coming out within the week though it seems to be a pretty slim chance of that happening now but heck it man,i've been nightmaring over my As result the last few days,vday hadn't even crossed my mind!
bah.
after today's meeting,i realised that next wed would be spent entirely in school since i'll have to attend the contact time evening which will end in the late evening.
oh wells..that ought to be romantic.
ha.


my mind needs to be properly occupied.
