yesterday was pretty horrid. i knew the good days couldn't last for long. first thing in the morn i trooped down to good ole cedar girls to prepare for my lesson next week and mrs foo informed me that she had gotten an adjunct teacher so i no longer have to teach from next week onwards. great. and she told me in such an offhanded chirpy matter that started with 'didn't i tell u?i must have forgotten!'.. and ended with 'so now u're free!' with the 'free' sounding extremely high ptiched and excited. i wish my mood and emotions reflected her energy. being a 'free' post A levels youth with zero income but infinty outflow ain't exactly an ideal situation currently. came home,told myself to get a grip and move on.. that's the prob with me- i always have a prob with moving on even though i always tell people that. so i shall resolve to learn how to move on this year.
anyway,i called a few schools but none needed relief teachers now,so it was quite frustrating. then i decided that duck and hippo tours really is my calling so i've sent in my resume but thus far i ain't got a reply yet. i think God is just awesome,coz even though i haven't gotten any confirmed replies yet,so many doors have been opened. like the duck/hippo tours thing,and this jaygee customer service ad i saw in the papers which i'm gonna apply for if hippo still doesn't reply coz the building is the one i face each time i lie in bed then there's jing who told me this morn tt she's gonna check with cedar again if i can go back as a teaching assistant briefly coz i dun wanna do it for long term since there's supposedly an available position rite now but it's not confirmed yet. so who knows- i may be back in cedar on monday! haha. the irony.
besides that,my day was filled with other horrid events to which i poured them out to 2 wonderful listening ears. haha. nonetheless,it ended off beautifully with dinner with jac at the blu jazz cafe in bali lane. i love that place! the dory thing is pretty tasty! pity the live music weren't playing yet coz it was still pretty early but wells,hope to catch it soon anyways.
