yesterday was a day of unexpected events.
awaiting me when the sun shone was a ginormous helium balloon that shone with it.
one that reflected a smile and the colour of pure royalty.
it was grand.
it's something that i've never had before.
and i thank you really.
maybe there weren't any card with words written..
but then actions speak so much more.

the afternoon was spent in nervous anticipation of a new email or phone call that might bring forth some hope of a new job experience.
i got one actually,but it was from mrs foo this time regarding another teaching stint that is still 2 weeks away.
still upper sec.
even more sec 4 classes now.
goodness.
and none of the books i've read before.
i'm still contemplating if i shld make a trip down to the library to go check those books out..
or will it be another wasted trip?
oh wells.

but anyway,
i'm still waiting for duck/hippo tours to call..

and i'm glad to report that miss jolene has finally watched a movie.=D
one last dance
met up for dinner at esteler77 which is the indonesian restaurant eatery at far east.
i've always gone past the branch tt's outside city plaza on the way home from wheejay last time but it was hardly crowded and i always wondered why no one ate there.
figured it must have been coz it's outdoors and u know how irksome the weather can be.
but anyways,the chicken set is not bad!
of coz it can't match up to ibu rebekka's cooking but nonetheless,it was still good.
the ice lemon tea was pretty interesting coz i thought it would be like the typical home made sort which i loveeee.
instead,it totally reminded me of the one at carl's junior where u have to put ur own mix of tea and sugar which was a complete distasteful disaster the last time i did so.
thankfully this came already mixed,i just had to stir.
and then we took a looooooooooooooong stroll from lido to orchard cine, stopping enroute to update jan who gave such a please-tickle-me-like-crazy-coz-it's-so-not-funny intro of herself which basically involves the link between her name JANice and the month of JANuary that she's born in.
see- with pals like these you can't fault me for being the way i am.
haha.
oh yay!boredradio is playing drops of jupiter now!
he sang part of it while we were strolling which sounded nice=)
i really wished that ngak could have sang it though..oh wells.
anyway,we ended up at plaza sing in time for the movie coz the other places didn't screen it at a time that would have ensured i got home before my grounding-in-the-future time.
the movie has plenty of stylistic cinematographic shots..
which i think the person behind it was really trying too hard.
but as all made-in-singapore products go..
we always try too hard.
being ok is not enough,one must always go for the best.
3/4 of the movie was spent tryin to figure out wad the plot was while being mesmerised by the way he killed using physical as well as psychological means.
at the end, i was like OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
but it was a not too bad movie la,
just not one to watch if u're uber tired and in need a real fast paced thriller.

OH and the guy who tore our ticket was like hesitant when he saw me and in that split second i could almost see the thoughts running thru his head..
'wait-she looks young.should i check her id for this NC16 movie? *side glance to the companion* hmm but he looks old s.so she shouldn't be that young.ok i'll just let her pass.'
i didn't get it till like 2s later and i was like 'I'M ALREADY 18!!!!'
grrs.
and he still dared to try and cover my eyes midway in the movie during the bedroom romp scene!
the audacity!
I'M ALL OF EIGHTEEN!!!
and mind you-
i'm GOING ON TO NINETEEN!!!!!!
