the race continued...and ended with our 4x100m gals FINALLY getting a place on that rostrum and the guys getting the overall A div boys title!! ALL GLORY TO OUR MIGHTY GOD!!!!!!!!!! =D
fabulous job guys!!!the past 2 days have been nerve wrecking to some extent but in a sense,it went past me in an almost mechanical like way too.i guess it's different for 4x200m coz i haven't ran that in like 3 years and to finally do so,placed me at the extreme end of human anxiety.4x100m today,on the other hand, was entirely different.it's like...the 5th year of preparing it for sph that it has become like some sorta routine in which my body has been pre-conditioned to.except this year's different;the warm-up,drills,people...entirely different.didn't feel too good for the heats initially.but i must say that brenda did a FANTABULOUS job running the straight.it was a totally different visual image i had in my head earlier...like the swaying body and and the slower speed than mel's i had anticipated.was quite worried actually.but brenda just flushed all my worries down the drain.haha.really,she ran amazingly well!WELL DONE GAL!!=Dunfortunately,i didn't feel too good about my run.that fluffy head of hair at the corner of my eye just refused to go out of sight and i think i put in too much effort chasing it to the extent that my body ended up becomming too tense and i couldn't move any faster at all.even when i reached the mark to chase j.low,i didn't feel too good either.guess part of it can be attributed to yesterday's race too coz it seemed like my legs had been pushing against a brick wall for 1000000000283746863 years.bleahhhh.heats was horrid for me.but oooooooooooh how well the finals was ran!!!guess if my pass to j.low had been near perfect,we could prob have gotten 2nd.but hey,3rd's pretty good!!!!!!!!my 2nd sph relay medal in 5 years!=)we put up a brave fight all the way,and really closed up a lot.huajia's improving loads and mel's got her 'motivation' [haha],j.low got her cramps today but i'm pretty sure she can go at an even more brilliant speed if she weren't feelin an ounce of fatigue.as for me,i think my body actually prefers to run like...twice.haha.really,i felt soooooooooo uber good running in the finals,it's like just before mel passed me the baton, this sudden rush of adrenaline or something like made me feel supa wow and ready to whack like mad just hit me.and so i ransprintdash!the ending was a good one i suppse...though it's time for j.low to be a B cup now!!!!!HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA. [dun kill me j.low!!! *bambi eyes*]
a
cherished 3rd
today's the day where i really prayed to God before the race.
as a relay team i mean.
last year, when jieyun and ewen [ac track capts] prayed for us before our race,i was like 'wow!i wanna do that too!' i guess...all my life in cedar,i had always longed to do so.just never got the guts to.even yesterday,i wanted to pray with my team before the race, but somehow,i was such a total wreck of nerves,i just couldn't do it.today though, with courage from God,i prayed with them before heats as well as finals and i really really really thank God that it wasn't as 'scary' as i thought it would be,coz i thought j.low or brenda wouldn't like it,but they were ok with it.so phew!thank God!=) even after our finals,i prayed with j.low to thank Him for everything and i just really really felt so happy!this beats all the medals man!=)

*pretty smiles*

4x100m A div gals 3RD

we ROCK!!
on a sadder note...really wished they gave like 5 medals instead, then vital people who got us into the finals like brenda and desmond can have their fair share of recognition too, something physical.=(an interesting point:daryl has probably been elevated to godlike level now in sji.his juniors today caught a glimpse of his great improvement and brilliance on the track that they adoringly cheered for him with all their guts out while he burned the track catching up with the outer lane guy during the 4x100m finals.really,it was funny to see such boys cheering with great passion and new found respect for a senior and team mate whom they never knew to have such potential in running many distances at such an immense speed.can totally imagine them staring at daryl, wide eyed and brimming with great respect while some are prob prostrated on the floor kowtowing him.hahaha.kudos to daryl!
this was wad daryl had ben aiming for...and he
got it =)
quite glad though...that this relays has also drawn daryl nearer to God =)
