- totally burnt -
if u ever have nothing to do and start asking urself questions like how in the world did God create such a beautiful world tt just whizzes past us coz we're so inmersed in our life we fail to see the wonder of his creations,or other questions like how red is a tomato,i can definitely answer ur 2nd qn - just look at me.haha today was faithful-nest first cell outing together.ok it wasn't really a proper one coz susanna couldn't come n shi hui had to go even before we headed for pasir ris park [no thanks to rubez who was ultra late!!!].
the day didn't start out too great as well.all along the train ride,i saw cumulonimbus cloud after cumulonimbus cloud.it was a dreadful sight.i prayed to God rite there n then n all thru the journey to hold back the rain n told Him i didn't ask for much except to just let sufficient sunlight to peep thru so tt we could have a good time together.n He was never failing-the sun shone so brightly, amidst much clouds,tt i'm now a brilliant shade of tomato red!haha HALLELUJAH PRAISE THE LORD!! =D
when we first reached, our main agenda was to find a shady spot tt was comfortable as well.unfortunately the first spot ever-great rubez picked was buried amidst dense trees n didn't look particular comfortable with the tall prickly grass.so we scouted around for much promising land n eventually planted ourselves between 3 palm/coconut trees on fairly barren ground tt overlooked the beach as well.then the gals ran off to look for n dig out those poor innocent critters also known as crabs.now, the only crabs i like are dead, cooked n soaked in either chili or black pepper sauce.so i obviously didn't take to their idea of potentially endangering the tranquil lives of those creatures.but after having a 'crab-digging-stick' shoved into my hand,i proceeded to collect all the valuables together n grudgingly trudged after them.
we didn't find any live crabs fortunately, but we found 2 dead ones n a shellfish with a potentially deadly poisonous looking tail tt had to suffer an agonizing death at the hands of rubez who was trying to help it back into the water together with desiree by flipping it over n over with a stick.unfortunately the waves proved to be too strong for tt sea dweller n it just sloshed back n forth, dancing to the rhythm of the waves.oh well,it must have been a slow painful death...
may it rest in pieces...oops i meant peace!haha...
with the failed crab hunting trip behind us,eunice, desiree n rubez attempted to look for nice sea shells n other random stuff n placing them inside this hollow coconut husk they found, while olivia n i tried to hunt for nice pebbles tt could be skipped across the water.we tried like a thousand n one times la!but unfortunately we greatly lacked such skills which resulted in numerous pebbles ending their beach life with a plop into the depths of the malacca straits.ahaha...after tt the three gals went mad n decided to splash around in the water, and guessed who got dragged in with them...?
nymphs
anyway, olivia couldn't touch the water with her feet coz she had this nasty red ant bite on her foot n she's also rather sensitive to the water.so the smart gal took refuge in the leafy shade while the rest of us suffered under the resilent sun, unaware of the burnt stealthily creeping up our skins.but we had great fun splashing n swooshing abt in the water.hahaha...felt like a lil kiddo all over again!played random games tt were thought of on the spot with a $3 inflatable globe ball i bought at the toy fair the other day, like some minimised version of water captain's ball n also stuff like who could float on the ball the longest [my pb: a grand total of 12s!].i think eunice had the best time of 55s or something like tt.n also who could hold our breaths the longest,or swam the fastest,or stay afloat without the ball the longest.yes, without the ball,to which we discovered much to our dismay n horror tt the sneaky beach ball had cunningly drifted far away, much beyond swimable reach, while we had been playing our ball-less games.waaaaaaaaaaaah i tell u,my heart just dropped ker-plonk into the water man!n the gals were shouting but laughing at the same time too tt i had no fate with the ball.sigh...just when i had given up all hope of ever retrieving the ball again,a dinghy came out of this yacht tt was anchored some distance away together with some guys n a baby aboard.there was also this guy who was in the water who clinged on to the side until he reached the ball.he then proceeded to swim with the ball to pass it back to me.i felt super bad la!!!so i quickly swam towards him with wad little n horrendously bad swimming skills i had to relieve him of the trouble n thanked him profusely.phew!it was such a relieve to get it back la!!!n the gals were so cute n polite too coz they consistently shouted 'BALL!!' and 'PLEASE!' while the guy was swimming so when we finally got it back, they quickly shouted 'THANK YOU!!!' in unison.hahaha super cute la!
after our lil mis-adventure,we headed back to join olivia n ate a lil bit of the food we bought,n then it was back to the water again.i tell u,the gals are mad abt sand.they were dying to build sandcastles n eunice especially wanted to make a sand mummy out of me.in the end, despite my vehemont protest,i meekly succumbed to their eagerness to see me covered in sand n obediently laid down while they proceeded to pile tons of sand on top of me.now i seriously understand my geog lesson on the weight of compacted sand.it was super heavy la!!!actually it felt ok initially, but after a while,i felt like i was in a coffin.it was also hot n begun to get rather prickly n i kept imagining armies of ants crawling up my skin each time i felt some itch or revengeful crabs poking me now n then.the sun was also beating down ferociously on my bare face, literally roasting it.hence explaining my current redness.so after my lil nap,i was shouting 'can i un-bury myself now?!!'haha...it was such a relief to get out la!!!i almost immediately ran to soak myself into the cooling seawater.haha...
after tt we continued picnicking n i stayed back to chat with olivia n also to dry off while the other 3 ran back to build sand castles [in the air!] n have their own fun.after a super loooooooooooong while,i decided tt it was time to go coz we had already long overshot the time.but guess wad, just then...' JOLENEEEE!!!THE BALL! THE BALL!!!' yes-tt sneaky freedom-seeking ball had once again drifted out into the open sea!omg...i tell u,i immediately dived after it again coz it was still relatively near, but the faster i swam, the further it seemed to go,until at last the gals started shouting at me to come back coz it was really too far already.dang it,if only i was of mark's length,i would have prob reached it already la!haha anyway, this time i seriously gave up on the ball already coz i didn't see anyone who could help us this time.n i was just thanking God i didn't get a cram or anything while attempting to retrieve it coz i wasn't confident of swiming tt far.but just as i was abt to leave, the ppl on board the yacht once again climbed into the dinghy to go retrieve the ball.at first this guy jumped out n swam to retrieve it,then he passed it to the dinghy boys who initially refused to give it to us even though the gals were shouting 'BALL! BALL! PLEASE!' once again.cruel ppl!but the guys eventually turned towards us n tried their best to paddle furiously to us.haha...i think they're super inexperienced in rowing la.it was lop-sided n kept going in the wrong direction.when they finally neared us,i swam towards them again,to save them from further agonizing rowing,n as i collected the ball,i once again thanked them profusely together with the gals.n then the guy was like 'ni ji shui? [how old are u?]' n then proceeded to ask for my number.freaked me out la!so i quickly turned around n pretended i didn't hear them n tried to get the gals out of the water n go back asap.but the guys rowed to shore n followed us n asked for my number again coz their 'lao da' wanted but i just shook my head n said no n just thanked them again n eventually they gave up.phew!i was so relieved la!
anyway,we headed to wash up n went home after tt.sigh...felt good to be so relaxed n carefree today...though i now have to suffer the consequences of being a lobster.dang.n i have to do my maths remedial ws too.double triple sigh.

the lobsters - *burnt but blissed* =)
