yes-singapore is 40 today.n because of tt,i had to lug this super heavy [but cute] Today in Singapore book all around town yesterday just coz vj had to give it out then.after doing so,i can honestly tell u i can understand why some ppl munch on steriods.
anyway,i arrived in school yesterday all ready to join the ethnic clothing clad victorians only to realise to my dismay as i stepped out of the car tt i was the only human in sight clad like tt.most of them were wearing either school uni or red shirts.i freaked out big time man!n then in the near distance,i spotted amir who was wearing some cute black ching-chong top n i sprinted as fast as i could in my too-long-too-tight sarong skirt to walk beside him so tt i wouldn't feel so out of place.[thanks amir sorry tiang!!]haha...then matthew suddenly appeared next to amir n asked me why i was wearing like tt when he tot we could only wear red shirts.waaaaaaaaaaaaaaah i further freaked out big time la!!!but anyway amir was there dressed like tt too,so was quite reassured in tt.
went to look for my frens asap who were stuck in the toilet for like a thousand gazillion years changing into their costumes.sigh...gals.ended up missing the parade but who cares?haha...we stepped out looking like ethnic barbies n managed to watch the performance in the air con hall.haha...tt RYAN is soooooooooooooooooooooo bleah!!!the 4 of us-josey,ying,sherene n i were trying to find our classmates.so when ryan suddenly appeared,i was like 'HI RYAN!' n proceeded to slap him on the back only to discover much to my great disgusted dismay tt he was thoroughly soaked in sweat n i could feel the sweat squishing. i was utterly horrified.which was followed by RYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! n his quick apology n horrid laughter n me quickly dashing to the toilet.dang,trng has yet to start n i already have to dash so much.
anyway,the celebrations were quite ok la.games were so-so.it's the people tt make it fun.while we were enjoying the cool air below,the teachers were melting above us.haha...mr ng msged sherene n told her tt they were sweltering in the heat above.n i replied tongue-in-cheek 'too bad!we're enjoying the sinking cool breeze below!'.of coz i left my name la,so sherene wouldn't get into trouble.n mr ng replied-'jolene,i see u're still as joyful as ever' just coz of last friday.hahaha...
the video of victorians n teachers presented by icomp [i love their productions!!] was quite funny too.it's supposed to be like wad national day means to them n had other qns like 'wad would u change if u were the PM' n 'wad's singpore's national fruit' to which mr harris replied to the latter tt the answers were dick lee n hossan leong!!hahaha he's super cute la.n there was this teacher who just couldn't stop talking abt fishes being flushed down toilet bowls.madness la!!!hahaha...
after the concert,we had mass dancing!!!haha...it was madness to see ppl in all sorts of costumes dancing.but too bad us 2nd in-takers dun really know all the steps n we only learnt like 3 dances barely?haha...but thanks to this awesome powerpacked science guy who boogie woogied like there was no tmr,sherene,ryan n i managed to grasp wad little we already knew by simply following him.he was sooooooo into the whole dance mode thing,it was hilarious watching him n i couldn't stop laughing.hahaha oh n omg!!!khairul n jon cho wore the SIA stewardess costume n even mass danced in them!!hahaha n khairul is simply amazing,he not only wore heels,he also DANCED in them!!!omgomg!!!*1000000000347834234 kowtos* to him man!i can't even walk in them much less dance!he's simply remarkable!we were such photo whores too.taking photos like mad!!haha...

after everything was over,sherene,ying n i headed to orchard.the crossers had trng tt day too,so as we walked out of school n turned left while they turned right towards east coast.felt quite bad tt they had to train while there i was headed to funness,so i turned around n shouted 'GO GUYS!!!' just to give my lil bit of encouragement,n the most bizarre thing happened.matthew,who was rite at the back,turned around n shouted 'WHOA! or YEAH!' or something like tt n waved one of his hands in the air above his head in a circular motion like some psychotic person!!!sherene n i were like wad the heck?!!!!hahhaah...he's seriously weird.
anyway,i met up with hy[together with lionel] n jade n we went to watch willy wonka!!!wooooohooooooooo!!!i totally love jonnhy depp!!!hahaha....he plays such weird roles so wonderfully,i am in total awe n admiration of him.had swensons for dinner n we changed the dessert order like 3 times la!!!hahaha...aiyo i just miss being together with hy n jade...sometmes i lie on my bed at nite n just wished tt when i awake,we would all be together in the same school again...but i know tt will never happen,unless we all go to the same uni la,but still....sigh.anyway i can't wait for thursday!!!gonna watch dim sum dollies!!!whoopieeee!!!haha...

FOP rocks!!!though the queuing up to get in was absolutely horrid as we waited hours under the mercilessly sun melting buckets of sweat.if newater were to recycle all our perspiration,they would have enough to last the whole pop for a year man!!but it was sweat worthy.fop was not bad as always.though shi hui n both felt tt the front powerpoint presentation part was rather scary n cult like,but then again,they always try to use new methods.we didn't know the first few songs too,so we were not really hyped up yet,though the lyrics were quite meaningful.but after a while,with the familiar songs n praiseful atmosphere,we totally got into the groove of things n i just had such a great time of worship.never felt so great praising God before!it was a wonderful time,until we had to dance.ok u see,i was seated between 1.85m tall mark n at least 1.68m tall shi hui.so when the lead singer of delirious [joke: hill songs + delirious = hilarious?haha i couldn't help it!!!] told us to put both our hands in the air n then hold the hand of the person next to u,1.54m me almost fainted.i felt super uncomfortable la,n it didn't help tt i also have sweaty palms which were cold too.omg.n then when the jumping started n it was torture time for me.the back row ppl were sniggering too la!so pai seh man.but after awhile i got used to it n thoroughly enjoyed myself.
but lesson learned: never stand next to ppl like mark at such events in the future.
haha anyway,today i stayed home the whole day.got rather inspired by naima ntried to style my air like hers.but i failed n ended up looking like a floppy rooster.dang it.i need to work on my hair styling skills.

- national day!! -
